Mimicking the Trade Winds

I am in the process of getting my front porch redone. What I want is something that is homey. Not necessarily anything that is fancy but something that I can enjoy. On my front porch I am thinking of getting hunter outdoor ceiling fans just to be certain that there is always a breeze blowing through. It’s something I picked up when I was down in Aruba with the trade winds and it really makes a difference. You see, down there its always like 85 degrees but with the breeze blowing through it always feels so much better.

The Good Wife

Sitting here watching television and the commercial for “The Good Wife” comes on. It looks like a good show but not one that I am every likely to see. I mean could have possibly come up with a worse title for a television show than “The Good Wife”. Congrats CBS you managed to lose every male viewer on the planet thanks to having the least masculine title every on network television. Its actually really a shame because I hear its a great program.

An October Snowstorm?

I cannot believe it snowed last night. I have been living in Delaware for about 13 years now and this is the first time I remember it snowing this early. I refuse to turn on the heat this early so for the next couple of weeks I guess we will just wrap ourselves in blankets and pretty like we are in a cabin sitting on rustic log furniture by a fireplace.

I read somewhere this should be a much milder winter compared to the last few. They said it has something to do with the El Nino tracking differently but if an October snow storm is an indicator they are wrong.

Making Dreams Real

Its that time of year when families go on a lot of vacations. If you are like me one of your dreams is to travel cross country. There are so many great sites that I have never seen but would like to visit someday. Its always been my dream to rent a motorhome to spend the summer seeing things like Mt. Rushmore and the Grand Canyon. I’ve been looking into things like motorhome insurance and how much it costs to rent a Winnebago and found out its not that expensive. Its not something I can do right at this moment but who knows, maybe in the near future I can make my dream a reality.

Dealing With Large Pores

Does anyone know how to get rid of blackheads. I have big pores particularly around my nose which tends to cultivate a ton of blackheads. Although I have made it part of my routine to clear them out but I would like to find a way to prevent them from happening in the first place. I’m not really sure if I will ever find a way to stop them since my pores are what they are, but that doesn’t mean I will stop searching.
