Thoughts on the Acer Aspire One
Something I may want to keep an eye on is the new Acer Aspire One. Weighing in at just lbs. this subcompact mini notebook may be the perfect travel companion for long trips. The laptop I currently have has a 17 inch screen so needless to say it is huge, and a pain in the butt to lug around. The little Acer which has a 8.9 inch screen would definitely be easier to handle.
I haven’t gotten my hands on one yet but I’m guessing this computer paired with a smartphone would be all I need to get along. The 160 GB hard drive means I can upload all of my vacation photos without having to worry about space and it is powered by an Intel Atom processor so it should have good battery life. I think I may have just found the perfect gift for my girlfriend (although I’ll use it more than her lol).
