Just got done doing some maintenance around the house. I had to do a bit of light plumbing, nothing having just replacing a wax ring for my toilet. I have to admit I feel pretty good after finally finishing. Another good thing is that it gives me confidence to do other projects around the house. Eventually, I would like to get around to finishing my basement. However, at this point in time its too large of a project for me. Even though it is an old house I believe all the asbestos has been removed so I shouldn’t have to worry about any health concerns. Not having asbestos is important because exposure can cause mesothelioma. The main thing keeping me from tackling this project is the electrical work since exposure to that can cause electrocution, lol. So, it looks like that project will have to wait until I have either a larger budget or more experience with electrical work.
