Oldie But Goodie Christmas Presents

This year I went a little “old school” with my Christmas shopping. I wanted to give the kids a taste of what it was like when I was growing up. I figure everyone has video games, ipods and computers so I wanted to do something a little more memorable. So this year I decided that a model railroad, duncan yo yo, board games and radio control cars were better ideas.  I like how they are all activities that promote interaction with other people rather than locking yourself in a room with an ipod or playing a video game with someone over the internet.  Maybe its just me but I think the world was a much better place when people actually interacted with each other.  While I can’t do anything to change the nature of the worlds interactions I can influence how my nieces and nephews are equipped to handle various interactions.
