Push to talk has to be one of the worst inventions ever. The guy who though it would be a good idea to give everyone what basically amounts to an enhanced walkie talkie was a real sadist. It wasn’t enough that he made it so that everyone sounds like the order taker at a drive through window but he also added that extremely loud super beep that signals that its ok to talk. Luckily for us they seemed to be a passing fad which all but died out a couple of years ago, or so I thought. It seems that at least one person still refuses to embrace the concept of either dialing a number to have a private conversation and it just so happens he shares a lunch break with yours truly. One good thing that may come from this is maybe I can introduce him to my blog and get him to step into the year 2008 and get rid of that brick he calls a cell phone.
