Countering the Holiday Weight Gain

I guess we are knee-deep into the part of the year that gives us a reason to make New Years resolutions.  Between Thanksgiving and New Years, Americans eat more food than during any other time.  Obviously, this over-consumption leads to weight gain which in turn leads to guilt.  Eventually, the new year comes and with a new beginning.  This is usually the time that we all try to diet, use weight loss pills and diet.  For some of us there will be a huge payoff resulting in a healthier life, for others it will be nothing more than a passing phase.  However, the important thing to remember will be to keep on trying, never get discouraged and realize that through discipline all things are possible.
