Finding a New Hobby
I was a bit of a geek as a child and I am proud to say I have never moved beyond that phase of my life. When I was a kid my main obsessions were comic books and model planes. These days my interests are in anything tech related. Computers, tablets and cell phones are all right up my alley. I have a friend that is trying to get me into remote control nitro cars but at the moment I think I have too much on my plate.
However, I will say that some of the remote control planes I have checked out have really caught my eye. I think once I manage to free up adequate funds I may have to dip my toe into that pool.
A Little Obsession Goes a Long Way
I’ve been put in charge of looking for a villa rental for a group of us for the summer. I probably over research everything but I am a bit of a perfectionist that way. Its funny, I am the kind of person who obsesses over everything from layout of the rooms down to small details such as the brand of cutlery in the kitchen to whether the pool has a pentair pool light for night swimming. To many people these details aren’t important but by accepting the responsibility to do the research I am (in a sense) responsible for everything. When you are expecting a group of 10 people to fork over thousands of dollars for a vacation home I think a little obsession is the right thing to do.
