Apple the number 2 smartphone provider
Its just been reported that Apple has surpassed RIM to become the nations second biggest smartphone provider. Of the nearly 40 million smartphones sold in the third quarter approximately 17% were Apple iPhones surpassing the RIM made Blackberry line of phones for the first time. What this means is people love the iPhone 3G. RIM sold a little over 6 million Blackberries which is a staggering amount for a third place finish. Now the question is will Apple build on this success or will RIM take it back when it releases the Storm and Bold later on this month.
