Cruise Countdown – 5 months to go
Christmas is slowly sneaking up on me so its time to start making my travel plans for our post holiday trip. I usually wait until the last minute but since things have been a bit slow lately I might as well get the planning out of the way early. Instead of Christmas presents we usually give ourselves a cruise, which in the past has worked out well for us. We have a system she picks the where and when I get the pleasure of doing everything else. My responsibilies include finding the right ship, choosing the excursions, booking the flight, getting the pre-cruise hotel and securing the travel insurance. Don’t you just love those equal relationships?
Luckily one of my many obsessions is research so doing the lions share of the preparation is actually fun to me. The part that isn’t fun is getting the boss lady to choose a destination. Its fairly likely that she has had “the place” in mind for the past few months but getting her to commit is like pulling teeth. She would much rather wait until the last minute and watch me lose sleep over trying to get everything done on time and under budget. That my friend is true love.
