Fireworks still make me giggle.
Yesterday I went to the park to watch the annual Independence Day fireworks spectacular. I have to say they really outdid themselves this year or maybe it was the corona talking. I always have enjoyed fireworks but for some reason the display seemed really well planned and executed this year. The bursts of color were bigger and brighter than normal and the music that was being played seemed to sync up perfectly. It made me feel as if I was in the middle of some great battle and Francis Scott Key was out in a boat composing the star spangled banner as we looked on. A few thousand people were gathered (with the majority of them being children) added to the atmosphere. It all really took me back to my youth and made me proud to be an American.
