My happy place.
Did I ever tell you how much I love amusement parks? Usually in the summer I like to travel around to a few different parks to ride the roller coasters. I mostly try to stick with overnight trips but this year with the price of gas I have tried to limit my travel.
Recently I went to Six Flags Great Adventure since it isn’t too far of a drive. This was the first time I had been there in a few years so I was excited to ride a couple of their newer rides. Six Flags Great Adventure isn’t the best park (its kind of dirty), the food is lacking and the landscaping isn’t done particularly well but they have done a great job of acquiring rides. They now have ten or so roller coasters which is more than enough to keep me busy for the day and the lines, while long weren’t annoyingly so. Luckily I was able to go on almost all of the rides I wanted to but Kingda Ka broke down the day I was there so I wasn’t able to go on that one; no big loss because I’ve ridden similar rides. Even though I technically didn’t ride all of the rides I would say the trip was a great and it fulfilled my coaster fix for the summer.
