Not calm under fire

The other day when I arrived back home from my trip, I took a cab from the airport to my house. I was a bit groggy and run down. To tell you the truth all I was thinking about on the way home was seeing my pets and sleeping in my own bed. When I woke up the next morning I couldn’t find my phone. I looked all over the house without success, Naturally I thought I had left it in the cab I took home.

When my girlfriend came down the stairs she asked me what I was doing, so I told her. As I am on the phone with the cab company wondering if anyone had turned anything in (like anyone in this day and age is honest anymore), I hear my phone ringing. In my panic it hadn’t occurred to just call the dang thing. It fell into my couch, between the cushions on the right side next to the table lamp. So, she looks at me rolls her eyes and calls me a “freak”. This is all pretty funny because when I used to play sports I was actually really good in crunch time. Its funny how 15 years and 30 pounds changes someone. The moral to this story is never let them see you sweat.
