Three Weeks Til Freedom
Finally, I have about 3 weeks until my end of the summer cruise on the Carnival Freedom. Before you ask, yes I did go on a cruise a few months ago and yes I know the economy is messed up, but I got a really good deal. If any of you have ever been on a cruise, you know how addictive they can be. When you first start going you are amazed at the size of the ship and the amount of personal attention you receive. After a few cruises you start to appreciate the smaller things. Now that I have done a fair amount of cruising I really appreciate things that I didn’t even notice when I first started. Things like Bingo, Karaoke and Trivia are among my favorite things to do. Although I have never won at bingo and usually have fun either participating or just watching karaoke, and trivia is something anyone can do. The questions are usually general knowledge and are more in line with the early questions on “who wants to be a millionaire” (What was wonder womans alter ego), not “jeopardy” questions (who was the top Oakland motorcycle accident lawyer in 2008) which keeps things fun. However, thing I look forward to the most is looking out onto the ocean at night and seeing absolutely nothing. That is a feeling of piece that can’t be duplicated anywhere.
