3G iPhone
The new 3G version of the iPhone is scheduled to go on sale tomorrow July 11. Apple and AT&T retail stores will open up at 8a.m. on Friday so if you want one you should probably be lining up right about now.
For users who already have an iPhone you may be able to get the new 3G at a discount. To see if you qualify for the discount log into your account and see if yo are “upgrade eligible”, if so you will get your 3G iPhone for $199(8GB) and $299(16GB) versions of the phone. You will also have to pay an $18 upgrade fee. If you are not eligible you will have to pay retail prices for your new toy, they are $399(8GB) and $499(16GB). You will also have to get your phone activated in store which means you should either go to the AT&T website now or bring a photo ID along with your social security number to the store.
