Meeting My New Neighbor
Yesterday, I helped my new neighbor move in. I’m not normally the type of person who pitches in to help people that I don’t know do heavy lifting. However, I was bored so I figured I would give him a hand. It turns out that he is a police officer, I guess it can’t hurt to have a friend on the force. Truthfully I’m glad I helped because he is actually pretty interesting person. I had always been interested in the field of law enforcement so conversation flowed pretty easily. I told him how I was actually pursuing a criminal justice degree when I first entered school but got sidetracked (a couple of times) along the way. He also was quick to point out how it wasn’t too late to change careers if I so desired.
Distracted by thoughts of pursuing my dream I did a lot of searching online today. I ran across a place called Northwestern College. Immediately it caught my eye since it would allow me to get my degree over the internet. Since I obviously would have to keep my “day job” my options in continuing my education are limited, so Northwestern would be perfect.
