Patience is a Virtue
This was an awkward experience. On the way back from the beach I decided to stop at Applebees to order “curbside to go”. Normally you call in your order and then drive to the restaurant where they bring it out to your car. However, since I was on the way home and didn’t have the phone number I decided to just go in and order. They sent me to the back of the restaurant to order from the place where people normally pick up. This was no big deal, the problem was that after the waitress took my order she just disappeared.
I waited around for what I thought was an acceptable amount of time but she never came back. This is when I decided to just go outside to wait. That is when I made my mistake. I pushed open the door and immediately an alarm sounded. I guess I should have taken note of the exit alarm on the door. Immediately workers descended unto me and embarassment ensued.
