Pretty Handy
I’ve been living in this house just a little over 8 years and it has taken me every minute of those 8 years to finally get comfortable with home repairs. Growing up my brother was always the one to fix everything so I never had the opportunity to tackle those sorts of challenges. I have no problem assembling things like a futon, tv stand or computers desks but plumbing and electrical work are different animals. Replacing the wax ring on the toilet got me over my fear of plumbing but I haven’t quite licked my fear of electrical work. I have installed a ceiling fan in the past but that was child’s play. Since I do believe the best way to conquer a fear is to tackle it head on I guess I should look for some sort of light electrical chore to sink my teeth into.
